Danica McKellar's 5 tips to conquer math phobia

1. Starting when they are toddlers, point out math in everyday life.

2. As a parent, hide your math phobia, if you have any from your child.

3. Use money.
- Teach them how to save
- Let them count out coins while paying for small items at the store
- Help them estimate taxes

4. Provide support and encouragement during rough patches.
- Teach them that it's ok to ask for help
- Grab some resources from the dollar store.  Dollarama has fabulous activity books for both math and reading.

5. Brush up on your own math skills.
